Roleplay Rules
General Rules
1)
Due to the
Privacy Act as well as a rule of PureGor absolutely NO Public personal
information is to be posted within the rooms or message boards (real
names,
phone numbers, address, IP#'s, etc).
2) Payments made for rooms and memberships are non-refundable and
non-transferable. When you open a room you are paying to have it setup
not
buying it forever. The site retains ownership of all rooms.
3) No sharing of login information will be allowed. Register your own name This means,
login name,
password or any other information found in the member only areas. If
you do
your membership will be revoked after the first warning. If you
are a site mod, room controller or room mod you will also be allowed
one warning after that your status will be removed.
4) The use of underage pornography is illegal. Anyone seen posting
underage
pornography or using underage characters in any way whether in open or
PM which
includes using a character names in Pure Gor will receive a permanent
ban.
Local Authorities WILL be notified
5) NO Bestiality images may be posted period anywhere on PG or
IR.
6) NO OOC - Real Life harassing/threats towards anyone. Zero
tolerance.
7) No underage nickname's such as Sue(f/14) or any variation
of will be
allowed the user will be immediately ask to leave as no one under the
age of 18
is permitted on Pure Gor.
8) No Java, Java scripts, VBscripts or Spamming/Flooding the
rooms with
html codes. No animation in AVs.
9) No Impersonating/Ghosting any staff members or chatters.
10) Avatars can be no bigger than 450 pixels in height and 650 pixels
wide.
Avatars used should be appropriate for Gor and should reflect what role
you
are. No animation in AVs.
11) Use of the message boards is free, but PureGor and its
administrators
reserve the right to remove any offensive, insulting or any posts with
personal
information other than your own.
12) Rules may be amended at any time at the discretion of
the Site Owner.
13) There is but one rule that should be universal on Gor, the
sovereignty of a
person's home. The rules of a person's home always take precedence in
that
home. A room shall not however make rules that go against this site
rules. No
outsider can change, modify, ignore, or replace a person's rules in
their home.
But, as on Gor, the rules of one's home extend no further than the
boundaries
of that home. Once you leave your home, you must then follow the rules
of
whatever home you visit. If a person dislikes the rules of another's
home, then
they are free to not visit that home.All room rules must reflect
reasonable and
realistic Gorean Role Play. Additionally, in case of severe conflict
(combat,
kidnap or other violent role play) independent and unbiased judges must
be
agreed to by the combatants.
14) Intolerance, Bigotry, Racism, Sexism and Prejudice are not welcome here in
PureGor either in image form, postings in rooms or on the boards or in chat
names or tags. We reserve the right to determine what is or is not deemed as
intolerance, bigotry or prejudicial in nature. Continuing to demonstrate what we
deem as these unwanted attitudes or behaviors will be cause for booting or
banning from this site. While this is the general
rule for all chatters, this does not apply to the actual role play that occurs
within the parameters of Gor as set out by John Norman.
15) Any room that is abandoned for a period of 60 days will be
removed
from the whochat - a post will be made to the site message board and
email sent
to purchase email advising of this disbandment.
Pure
Gor and its
Board is privately owned.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
1.
If you violate
rules such as rude, abusive, gender(ooc), racial, appearance slurs -
etc.
Especially nastiness to the mod team you will be warned first offense.
Second violation will result in a week's loss of board
privileges.
2. Upon your return to the boards, your warning will hold for a
duration of two
weeks. Should you violate the rules again, you will receive a
second ban
from the boards lasting two weeks. At this point your
behavior will be
brought directly to Carole for final notice.
3. For the third violation you will be forbidden from returning to the
boards
to view or post under the Three-Strikes Rule.
Roleplay
Rules
1) In Pure Gor you may use NPC (Non Playing Characters), they are simply
for
enhancement of roleplay -In combat - they are merely fodder
ie: Guards
etc.NPCs may be force posted per prodigy rules.
No
Child characters
are allowed to be played in Pure Gor period - No exceptions.
2) All Chatters, observers must follow the rules of each room
you enter.
You will see a list of rules on each entrance page it is
highly
recommended you read this page as ignorance is no excuse. Repeated
offenses may
result in permanent banning from the site. By entering the rooms you
agree to
follow these rules and accept the consequences for breaking them. You
will
receive at least 2 warnings in Site Ran Rooms, breaking the rules after
the 2nd
warning you will be removed from the room. 2nd offense of breaking the
rules we
will ban you from the room permanently.
3) Dualing is NOT allowed in Gorean roleplay. Dualing is where one
person runs
two different characters concurrently anywhere in Gorean online role
play.
Anyone caught dualing will have all their characters actions annulled
and be
banned from all Pure Gor rooms.
The one exception to this rule is animal chars can be played within the
following restrictions.
3a)The
animal char
cannot be used as a way for the main char to be vindictive and
attack
people without taking any damage themselves.
3b)The animal most often will be a pet or a wild animal used to enhance
roleplay.
3c) Animal chars cannot be used to kill regular chars.
4) Due to the intense nature of Gorean role play, cross gender role
play is
disallowed in PureGor period. Men shall role play male Goreans and
women shall
role play female Goreans. Failure to comply will result in banning.
5) Shelving a character is recommended only to be the last option for
players
who are engaged in a role play of captivity. You are required
to finish
out the roleplay before seeking other options. This includes those who
are in
limbo awaiting judgments. You should honor your position on
Gor until it
comes a time you are free to shelve or work with your captor to resolve
the
roleplay amicably.
A
judgment would
only render captured or not ensuing role play after judgment if
captured would
then need to come to some sort of end before you could use the option
of
shelving.
If
a typist has
a pattern of shelving to avoid consequences of a roleplay - they will
run the
risk of being banned from the site for a month
If
a roleplay begins
to affect a typist real time - you need to post to the boards
explaining
why you are shelving - please use the appropriate Board " Shelving "
which is in the Role Play category. Failure to do so could possibly end
in a
site ban. At times roleplay can be intense for some, and we suggest
perhaps
when you shelve and take a break from the stress.
6) Ignoring of a post made to you by another. This has never
been
acceptable behavior in the Gorean community. If you are in a
roleplay and
someone forces themselves in to your roleplay and they have taken
the proper
steps to do so, you MUST honor their post and respond.
The
only exception
is if you have a person on ignore for OOC Harassment. This action MUST
be posted
on the boards who you are ignoring and why and CAN NOT occur during any
captive
/ combat roleplay. If you claim to be ignoring someone and post to them
on Pure
Gor Boards, acknowledge them in Role play your claim of ignoring them
is null
and void.
The
rule for
ignoring someone has always been available for protection
from ooc
harrassment, being stalked, a constant crossing of
characters, etc - This
feature was to be used as protection " Before " you ended up at the
mercy of someone with an obsessive vendeta as opposed to using once in
a
roleplay you do not want.
Lately, there has been a rash of " I'm Ignoring you " once someone is
in a miserable roleplay - Claims of OOC/ RT being brought into the room

It's impossible to discern who is actually telling the truth since MSN
chat
logs are so easily doctored coupled with the different
stories of he said
, she said , they said -
Gor is being ripped from under us , Men are being mocked - something we
love is
being shredded by a few that feel rules should not apply to them - Many
of you, actually a majority of you want this rule changed and effective
immediately
it is -s-
Once you are captured, collared, etc the ignore rule no longer
applies - If
you feel that your being mistreated - if you feel OOC is brought into
the room,
if you claim ooc / rt are being used , then you have the
option , as
before to shelve -
7) All Open Combats occurring in Pure Gor will Be judged on PG
Boards.
It
does not matter
what site you or your captor reside in or if you even have a home
stone, for
that matter - Captured means Captured - This is inclusive of
Pure Gor
Members as well.
What
happens after a
judgment is rendered is no concern of PureGor.
